Driven by a passion for 18th century beauty, refinement and perfection, Julien Sprecher, founder of the house, created Parfums de Marly in 2009 to pay homage to Louis XV's castle, a true palace of pleasure.
Palatine draws inspiration from the image of Princess Elisabeth-Charlotte of Bavaria, known as the Princess Palatine, a free woman in love with the philosophy of the Enlightenment and a prominent personality of Château de Marly. Her unconventional spirit, confidence and extraordinary independence for a woman of her time and position had a strong influence on her contemporaries.
Palatine celebrates this bold and modern spirit by interpreting an iconic note: the violet petal. Refined and gourmand, delicate and radiant, this fragrance opens with fruity notes of sparkling bergamot and juicy peach. In the heart, tuberose intertwines with fresh and delicately powdery violet. Contrasting the initial freshness, the creamy sweetness of vanilla combines with the woody warmth of sandalwood in the base, leaving a sensual and refined trail.
