The fragrance is dedicated to the famous Arab sultan Shah Malik, who loved to travel. One day he commissioned a ship to emphasize his status and power. The ship was decorated with blue enamel, golden oriental ornaments and precious stones.

When the ship returned to port, the air was filled with the wonderful scent of fresh flowers, ripe fruit and oriental spices. These delightful scents emphasized the luxury and incredible beauty of the Azores, which Shah Malik was so proud of!

So Iris Intense is a new fragrance from French brand Montale, launched in early 2017 as a duet with the Cherry composition in Extrait de Parfum concentration.
